Design studio Fearon Hay Architects has presented the project of private resistance Storm Cottage, located on the east coast of the Great Barrier Island in New Zealand.
The cottage is located directly on the coast. Its exterior is made of coarse black wood siding. Inside the residence walls and floors are faced with oak boards that look both coarse and warm.
The cottage is built far from the infrastructure, so energy is accumulated by solar panels, and an independent system of water collection and purification provides comfortable living in the house. Two bedrooms with bathrooms are designed at opposite ends of the reinforcement, while the central space is reserved for the living room. This is an ideal place for lovers of coziness and comfort far from civilization, surrounded by the amazing beauty of nature.
